Success at CMA 2016

Two quite different areas of our expertise - social media and event promotion - were recognised in the Construction Marketing Awards 2016.  Our Facebook campaign for Knauf won the Best Use of Social Media category while the Night of Heritage Light spectacular gained a Highly Commended in the Best Use of Events and Live Marketing section.

Following on from winning the Agency of The Year category in the 2015 CMAs we were determined this year to gain attention for our client campaigns.  We were particularly pleased with the winning campaigns as both of them represent a significant leap of faith on the behalf of the clients as both projects were experiments in new ways of working.

The campaign for Knauf demonstrated once again how effective a well-planned Facebook campaign can be at reaching independent building contractors.  It can still be a surprise for clients when we recommend this channel, but we think for the right campaign and the right audience it really can be a winner.

The Night of Heritage Light project shows was can be achieved with some imagination and bundles of enthusiasm.  The brief from the Society of Light and Lighting – part of CIBSE – was to broadcast the arcane skills of the lighting designer to the widest possible audience.

When SLL suggested a lighting spectacular we could not have been more pleased.  Huge interest from national and regional media demonstrated that it really is possible to engage mass media interest if the project is right.

These successes, added with our shortlisting in both Agency of the Year and PR Agency of the Year (we were the only company to be shortlisted in both) rounded off a great year for Ridgemount. 2016 has seen the agency grow and add new skills to our portfolio – look out for more in 2017.
