Agency of the Year

The PR world is changing fast and we are loving it.

When we first entered the Construction Marketing Awards five years ago we were focused almost entirely on press relations. In 2015, while those column inches were still really important, our campaigns included so much more.

For people who love to write - and we all love to write - social media offers a wealth of possibilities. Our campaigns are still all based on great content, but now we can deliver that content into the right hands through an ever expanding range of channels.

In 2015 we blogged, tweeted, instagrammed, Facebooked and LinkedIned our way to thousands of construction industry professionals. And, in the ultimate accolade to any writer, we were even commissioned to write a book.

We work with some great clients who allow us to experiment. It's a leap of faith to try an entirely new strategy and we are eternally grateful to those marketing managers who are prepared to accept that some of the things we suggest are new to us too.

This is the first time that Ridgemount PR has won the Agency of the Year category and the judges noted particularly the diversity of the tailored programmes devised for each individual client.

Not only did we win the Agency of the Year title, we also received a Highly Commended nomination for PR Agency of the Year. Just as importantly our own Mitch Hyde was awarded a Highly Commended trophy in the Emerging Talent - Young Marketer of the Year.
